Default rotor question

I have to do my front brakes before taking the Z out this spring, does anyone know a what a good set of rotors to use? I am thinking HPS pads with the stock caliper.

I was going to buy the NAPA replacement rotors when I did my pads. They seemed to be a good choice for just a straight up stock replacement part.

However, when I started looking at alternative parts I came across these guys, RotorsOnLine.com. Back in December of 06, if I remember right, they were having a clearance sale. 4 rotors for $200.00 plus shipping. Okay they were not stock replacements. They were the slotted & holed type, but for the price vs me going to NAPA the deal was hard to beat. The NAPA rotors were like $80.00 ea plus shipping, or at my local NAPA it was a two week wait to get them in, but they were a bit more than an online purchase.

I had also looked at Wagoner Power Stop line of rotors, just slotted, and they were about $10.00 more than the regular NAPA rotors. I found the Wagoner ones at RockAuto.com. I think they were in the low $90.00 range.

I posted up here about the RotorsOnLine guys because I had never seen these guys before. Jeff (Jeffvette) posted & siad that I would be good to go with those parts. I want to say that I don't do any HPDE's with the car, so this is just a street car. I've had them on about 9k miles and I have absolutely no complaints with the parts. No funky issues, no BS, they just work nice and the price was killer, like $240.00 shipped. They look nice also, which is like free bling for the cash I spent.

Here is the link to those guys: http://rotorsonline.com/

I should have mentioned this also Shaun, I was price shopping. I was trying to find good parts at reasonable prices. I can't justify the cost of some of the really top quality stuff as that stuff is a bit to pricey for my wallet.

Hawk HPS pads are the way to go for a street car used for occasional trips to the track.

If your going to the trouble do the braided steel lines too. You'll love the feel of the brakes.

I'm running Powerslot C5 rotors that I swapped over from my '94. I think I paid around $100 each from TireRack. Made in US or Canada, I think -- be careful -- a lot of the rotors out there are made in China.
