You can't buy the LT5 tool kit anymore from anyone, the kit that "was" on the registry was being sold by Bill Kirchoeffer & now no more. Besides, those prices still shown on the registry are a good 5 years old.

Amazing it reached that kind of money already, haven't people heard of snipping?

Bill still is making the kits. The price is up 15% from the old price listed ($641).

The set on bay has 18 of the 25 tools listed for the LT5. Bill's set is the must have kit ( to rebuild ) with 13 tools for $ 738.

Bid is at $800, I think it will go to $1000+ like the last set $1100+

Well not really.

The tools you still can buy from Kent Moore. You have to buy them one at a time, no more kit form.

The total ( minus the the front cover seal driver N/A ) $2446.

And you dont get the pretty blue box

So $1000-1200 for used not so bad.

What did you pay from Speck Chevrolet ( my backyard ) I was tring to get the tools from them for months.

I got one when I saw your post before, it was weird though cause the link you had made it look like they weren't available and then from messing around and signing into e and doing a search for them they came up but then the next day they weren't there anymore.

I just kinda wanted one for history, but it would make the rebuild easier for a starting point, I used degree wheel for timing.

It would be nice to have the oil pump alignment tool, took me about 6 hours to align that thing since I didn't have the tool. Only not sure but think you have to take the graphite seal out to use the tool and then it might get damaged and since not available normallydid get one when Kurt had them on sale though but it's gettin saved for emergency.
