Happy New Years Gentleman!
The Mod Bug is biting away feverishly. I already have the calipers, and rotors for the car now what I need is to get the wheels in the proper size before I have the hats and brackets made. I have chosen to use the wheel below as it appears in "black chrome". However the wheel comes in a few different offsets and I need to know which would be best to allow the most clearance of the big brake calipers while keeping the spacing to a minimum of the hats. They have the wheels available in a +38 or +56 offset for the fronts. I know the best offset would be the +38 but the question is does anyone have a big brake kit (4 or 6 piston) installed on their ZR1 with this wheel? Pics? Spacer thickness needed? Fender clearance? Does the wheel protrude out of the side of the wheel well? If so how much? Any other concerns? ![]() |

Each caliper and mounting system is different. The factory offset for the front is 56mm and the rear 36mm.
I run a Brembo 4 piston caliper front and rear and in the front I clear the rim spoke by about the width of a penny. No spacers. Your best bet for running a 4/6 piston with a oversized rotor is to use a 3 piece wheel and custom build from there. |

Which wheels are you running and what size rotors? Is the front rotor a one piece rotor or two-piece? |

I run 2 piece Eradispeed rotors with stock GM 5 spoke rims and 6 piston Baer calipers.
Clearance is a hair. I'd go with Jeff's Big Red Package as its a great system and the Baer system will put you back about $3,000. ![]() |

Perfect. Thank you. I do not know how much thicker our calipers is to that of the Bear but if you have a hair then with the stock +56mm offset then we should have more room with the +38 offset. Great picture.
