Default Miles to a tank of gas - what's you drinking record?

I put this at the end of another post but figure this needs a topic of its own. This is not about you best mpg but more your worse. Or you best per mile

What's the best you guys have done on a full tank of gas? My record was just over 100 miles out of a full tank. I was in Germany at the time trying to catch Jeal after we got split up. I would have caught him as well only I had to divert as I was on fumes by the time I was just behind him. Great fun

My MPG meter in the gages reads about 12.8 but before I replaced the injectors it was in the 14s.A s far as a tank of gas I think the most I got with the tank running low was less than 200 miles.

Two weekends ago mine burnt up 26 gallons in 160 miles and the digital mpg was pretty accurate at 6mpg. Don't really know about per tank though cause I was topping it off at break times and I think mine suffers from the shrunken tank syndrome.

I hate to say this....but I never really look except for amusement

Although the last Toys for Tots run my dash display was at 4mpg for awhile, then it went up to 9mpg. I had forgot to close both windows though...it was like a wind tunnel in the car...but it was fun using fuel at that rate!

An '07 Z06 with about 17K miles on odometer traveling at speeds between 125 and 172 mph, averaging 155 mph for a distance of 130 miles, got 10 mpg with AC set on lowest temp, recirculate and windows closed.
All factory stock drivetrain. That equates to about 175 miles per tank of gas. Not too shabby!! I think the ZR-1 that beat us got close to the same mpg.

Thats pretty good I think. I only get a little bit more out of mine now in normal driving.

Mine was nearer stock when I achieved just over 100miles to the tank. My average speed would have been similar to yours but I was on an autobahn and was constatntly having to brake/accelerate as traffic moved over.

Much more fun burning it like that than burning it sitting in traffic
