Swapfest=lame/ZR-1 Prototype Motor=Cool
Well I was down in Effingham to visit family, so I shot over to swapfest. Needless to say 10 vendors(junk), and what basically amounted to leftover dingleberries picked out of the crack of Mid American's AZZ. Although most of the day, day meaning hour and a half, was a waste, I did stop by the My Museum and it was worth it. He has 2 prototype motors on display, including one being dist driven. Of course to add insult to injury...no camera. I do have a few shots on the cell, but no luck so far transferring them.
I also overheard Mr. Yeager state that there is a good chance Funfest will move to a new location...he stated "If" it were to move to Indy it would be either at the INDY motor speedway or raceway park. He also stated that there are several other locations interested, including a few in IL. I think it would be great to see at autobahn country club, next to route 66 dragway. Next time I am in Effingham, will remember to bring the camera. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 Last edited by LGAFF; 10-13-2008 at 07:07 PM. |

Lee try sending the cell photo to your email address. I have a couple photos from Funfest that transfered pretty well.
Dont forget the new crate motor next to the prototypes. |

One of the motors is turned around, and you can see it has a distribtor on it....I was kind of surprised...per Mike Yeager one of the motors is a Gen I. I tried to e-mail but it will not go through.
