Stage 8 Locking Header Bolts

Has anyone experience with Stage 8 locking type header bolts?

The small 12 point head could provide a little extra advantage in harder to get at holes.

I just bought a set and installed the passenger side header. I like them so far and just not that easy to get the clips onto the lock for the hard to reach areas. Very high quality and even though not that visible it looks great on the Jet Hot coated SSW headers. There was one of the bolts I could not use due to clearance issues and the design of the SSW headers so I used studs instead. I'm not sure as I have no put all the locks on, but there is already 1 that I could not as there is no clearance; their instruction show that you can trim the lock clip so I'll have to try it. I like the 12 point head (8mm) and had no problem getting them tight; as you mentioned it seemed an advantage in the tight spots. It will be nice to know that I don't have to worry about them loosening up.

After installing these I would say that I like them and did have to trim a few which they do say is okay and I did not have to cut them too much for the close fit areas on the headers. I was not able to install all due to the length of the bolts for a few due to clearance and had to use studs with nuts or short bolts. Without looking again I would say 3 total that I could not use. There were some challenges and cussing to get some of the clips on as there is not much clearance in some areas for easy access as you know. To get them just right if you want to snug up against the header a little bit of adjustment is needed to the bolt to make tighter, etc., but not much due to 12 point flexibility.

The Summit bolts look nice. I used two types of bolts, allen heads & regular 6 point bolts. I got a bolt in every hole! I had to cut an old wrench and fab it up to fit one of the bolts on the driver side, but the rest went pretty smooth.
