A Story about Corvette Racing
In case you missed this... there's some interesting posts and related ideas on ZR1NET@LISTSERV.CORVETTEMUSEUM.COM> by
Ron Ashcraft in response to part 1 of a story by Jim Van Dorn about Vette Racing on his Blog at the Automasters of BG website (http://www.automastersofbg.com/ ). It starts with, "The ZR1 (note the "no dash" ala new model ZR1) evolved from many years of racing, research and development. In fact, few know how GM and Corvette entered the racing world, at least in modern times. It all started back in 1992 when I met a guy named Doug Rippie…. " I can't wait to read JVD's next installment...it's GREAT HISTORY! Ron has some good ideas on moving forward with this and related topics for us ZR-1 folks. I thought some of you might want to join his brainstorming?
