Trying to think about warmer days when I can take my "new" Z out to terrorize the rural blacktops, I turned to the Bloomington Gold event at St. Charles, IL, and the tour in particular. WooHoo! The new route is posted. I'm not sure, but it may even be a "repeat" from a previous tour route, but no matter...One year there was over 3000 Vettes that took the 30+ mile double-back loop. For a Vette nut like me, it is pure adrenalin and some serious eye (and EAR) candy!!

In years past, my wife and I drove either her '69 Vert or my '95 LT1. However, this year we may be driving separately so we each can take a guest (and set the Vette hook, perhaps!

) Either way, I hope to meet some of the IL ZR-1 owners to put faces with handles, and learn more about what and who is available to provide support for our beloved "Zs"
