Default Aston Martin DBR9 Testing Update

Aston Martin DBR9 Testing Update

ALMS Story 12-7-2004

BRASELTON, Ga. - Testing of the new Aston Martin DBR9 occurred again last week at the famous Estoril Race Track in Portugal. The original plan was to run both performance and endurance tests over the three-day span but Mother Nature intervened with unexpected rain.

Due to the extremely wet weather, the Aston Martin went through vigorous endurance testing on the 4.182 kilometer track to highlight some reliability issues that as a result can now be addressed prior to the DBR9's debut at the American Le Mans Series Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring March 16-19.

American Le Mans Series driver, David Brabham along with Tomas Enge and Darren Turner were behind the wheel of the DBR9 during last week's endurance tests in which the DBR9 completed 269 total laps.
