Service LTPWS Light
Question about the Service LTPWS light in my '94 ZR-1. Replaced the wheels and omitted the sensors. Anyone have any idea how many miles of driving it takes before the Service LTPWS light comes on? Mine just came on last night, after over 400 miles of driving without the sensors.
Thx.

Re: Service LTPWS Light
I've heard that there is sometimes a bit of delay before the light comes on when you remove the sensors....I can't speak from firsthand experience though, since I just went ahead and yanked the bulbs out of the DIC 1st.

Re: Service LTPWS Light
It's been a couple years but I seem to recall it took a little over 500 miles for the one in my '94 to come on.

Re: Service LTPWS Light
On the late Zs its hit or miss. But unless you put the sensors back in or take the blub out of the DIC the light will remain on. THis is not the case for 90-91 Zs

Re: Service LTPWS Light
Bryan, your issue may be a sticky or lazy fariday battery. If the thing don't slide easily then it doesn't generate enough electricity to transmit. Our sensors are just like those hookey flashlights...ya know the ones you gotta shake before they light up?
I have one, a right front, that acts out once in awhile. It sets the Service LTPWS light & if I drive fast enough for a while it goes out. Tom
