Reinforcement Spring in Engine Coolant Hose?
I've got my car torn apart to replace the old (original??) coolant hoses with new silicone hoses from JerrysGaskets.
What's the latest consensus on the reinforcement spring in the Engine Coolant Hose (thermostat housing -> water pump)? Best to carry it over from the old hose, or OK without it?

Reinstall in the new hose to keep the hose from collapsing under certain condition.
