Hello ZR-1 registry.
I have a few questions about wheels on my 1995 ZR-1. So here is the story. When i bought my 95 ZR-1 it came with the factory A-molds and what looks like a set of the factory good year tires. The tires are dated 2005 so they are done. So im looking to get some fresh rubber and rims. I dont want to even touch the factory rims and tires due to age and the TPMS sensors. I just want to take them off the car and keep them safe. So this leads me to the questions: The TPMS from what i have read cant be defeated. All i can do is pull the bulb. If the TPMS is in the state of pulled bulb and i have no TPMS sensors in my new rims will it affect any other system in the car. I ask this because basically any new car will freak out in conditions like this. I cant seem to find any good place for a set of reproduction A-molds? I know the OEM units cost a fortune if you find them which is way im asking if reps are ok? Is there any good aftermarket 17's that fit our cars? I know there are many aftermarket brands out there but some cost multi thousands per wheel! Thanks! |

You don't want aftermarket A-molds. Other than AFS A-molds the new aftermarket wheels just don't look good with the way the wheels look. I don't know too much about the AFS wheels but I do know they are identical? to factory A-molds.

As to wheels the 3 piece wheels are pricey if you intend to replace the Factory A-Molds. The best looking 5 spokes are the FIKSE FM-5s IMHO. CCWs are another option. ![]()
