Does anyone know if the front spring is side specific? Meaning, does it matter which way you install it? There’s nothing in the FSM.

Just had mine out and both sides appeared the same. FSM doesn’t mention anything.

Thanks guys, though so too. I’m dealing with a 91’ where we lowered the front. Pulled the spring, removed the shims, cut down the upper bushings, glued on the nylon shims, reassembled, Re-torqued Lower A arms and sway bar with the suspension loaded. Crazy part is it’s no lower than when we started even after driving 50+ miles. Can’t find a reason why it’s still so high. Going back in Saturday. Per Mark H I’m going to remove the nylon shims and simply use the remaining quarter inch high cut down original bushings.

try this. cut the spring bracket legs to the same height as your spring pads. this will take up a lot of space between the spring pads and the channel in the cradle. you could also take the shim and place it under the bracket and then tighten up the bolts. once you tighten up the bolts so that the legs of the bracket are tight with the cradle, you can see a space between the spring pad and the cradle. you could also re-cut the bracket until the pads are squished with the cradle. as you can see the pictures came out 90* off and i can't figure how to straighten them. sorry.
