I took the resonator out of my Borla Challenge system because I read on Marc's website that it's restrictive. I look inside and have never seen one like this and it's not like the one Marc describes. Did Borla change it's design?IMG_20170922_145053214.jpgIMG_20170922_145102110.jpg

I think it's probably a Borla resonator. I use to have the standard 2.5 Borla as well as the Borla Challenge 2.75 and I believe both resonators merged into three hollow pipes inside the resonator casing. I haven't had them for awhile and doubt that I took any photos but if my memory is correct that was the internal structure of the Borla ... and yes, it probably had some restriction compared to a "normal" resonator or x-pipe. Exhaust sound is highly subjective but I always thought the Borla sound was decent enough.
