Apr. 28 Chevy Showdown
Event Host - Classic Chevy Club of Tucson Event Location - Desert Diamond Casino, 1100 W. Pima Mine Rd., Sahuarita Contact Name - Frank 520-437-2481 Event Hours - 9AM-3PM Entry Fee - $30.00 This will be our 33rd annual car show. We are open to ALL GM cars & trucks 1988 and older! This is Southern Arizona's LARGEST all GM Car Show. We have 25 different classes with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies in each. We also have two new classes this year. One called Rustic Unrestored and the other called Under Construction. 50% of the judging is performed by the host club, with the other 50% performed by outsiders. One from each list will be paired for each judging team! A dash plaque, tee-shirt and a goodie bag will be included with each $30.00 entry fee. Our famous raffle, (last year we had over 75 items), will be back. Desert Diamond Casino will be hosting a lunch menu outside in the Car Show area. Last years lunch was sold out due to the huge demand. Trophy Award Presentation will be held at 2 PM in the Casino Banquet Room. We hope to see all GM car enthusiast at our show! Butler St., Eagar Contact Name - Mike 928-333-3472 Event Hours - 8:30am to3:00pm Entry Fee - $35.00 Open to 1978 & earlier cars and trucks. We will award trophies for 1st place and plaques for 2nd & 3rd places in 12 classes. The unique trophies and plaques are hand made by the students at RVHS. Every 5th participant will be asked to judge. There will be food & other vendors, music, 50/50 and other raffles plus door prizes. Goodie bags includes t-shirt and dash plaque. Friday 1pm to 5:30pm registration, check in & over night parking. Friday 6pm meet & greet at Avery's BBQ. Saturday 7am registration and parking. Show starts at 8:30am awards presented at 3pm.
