Default WTB: 90~92 375Hp Crankshafts

Will buy very good condition, used 90~92, 375Hp crankshafts for $275 + $50 towards shipping. No blems. Must be as new, no worn or scored journals.

I have no real need for them, just know there are cranks out there gathering dust & I will have my new shop finished in a couple of months, with more room to store parts.

I do have some new & used bare blocks & have thought about putting some 368 short blocks together for customers planning a rebuild for their ZR-1. Would need cranks for that project.

Is there much difference between the early 375 hp and later 405 hp cranks?
For building 368s the cranks will most likely have to be rebalanced anyway.

Comparatively, the 405 engine reduced piston, pin & rod mass by 36g, comparted to the 375 engine, based on weight averages for each of the components. (my data). Significant when balancing to less than a gram.

I've talked with Graham about what the difference might be between the cranks & the bob weight for crank manufacturer factory balancing is all that came up as possibilities.

Regarding 368 builds from 375 cranks, rebalancing would be necessary unless I can have a piston made the same weight as the originals. My goal here is to keep the customer cost as low as possible. Getting a fresh engine being more of a priority than more power. Stock rods will probably be used as I have a very good supply of new & used. Just new sleeves, pistons, rings & bearings.

Conceptually & apart from the possible 368 project, I would like to have good cranks available for direct replacement part in a 375 engine.

As the owner of 181k mile 90’ in otherwise fantastic shape, I’m not interested in a big cube motor. I think it would be fantastic to have a source for a fresh (exchange) 368 short block, when the time comes.

Interested to see what you come up with Jerry.
