Replacing the starter or at least overhauling the Denso starter solenoid appears to me to occur at about the same mileage - more or less. Might well be an item to add to a Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule - like oil changes and tires, etc.
So! I think a poll of those that have overhauled their Denso starter SOLENOID electrical contacts due to actual starter failure - would be enlightening. In order to establish a failure rate; Mean Time Between Failure or MTBF as it is referred to, this poll is limited to those having actual failures and at approximately how many miles? MY BAD...
