As with all my other early 90s chevy's, the power lock is unable to lock the door. It tries, but fails, and a manual nudge on the lock is necessary. As my other chevys of the period were all just temporary DDs, I've never looked into the cause of this. Though I'm sure several of the Z-registry members have come across, and solved this minor issue. Would these individuals mind sharing their experience?
Sticking mechanics -> lubrication? Weakened actuator -> due for replacement? Warped door liner, causing mechanism to stick?

Appreciate it. Will order a couple actuators.
Replacing them will be a good opportunity to lubricate the mechanics as well. Edit: Holy crap they were expensive. ![]()

How much did you pay for them?
Also a slight PIA to take door panel apart. If you have already done it before, then you know. If not, just take your time and you will be fine. Sent from my SM-G935P using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app

Not as much as I initially thought. they were $98 each from Ecklers, but $59 at Rock Auto.
Totaled $171 incl. shipping and a $40 import charge. Door panels are always a PIA, but it shouldn't offer to much of a problem. Are they held on by plastic clips? If so, probably a good idea to order some of those as well.

Yes there are some plastic clips used, not only for the door panel, but also for the wiring harness (different type) that is attached to the metal plate inside of the door. It is always good to have extra clips on hand, just in case.

For me, it was cleaning up everything (the connecting rods, etc) and lubricating the mechanism. For a car as old as ours, it makes sense to replace the actuators since you'll be in there anyway.
