I was wondering if anyone knows what has to be done to make the Z06/Z07 brakes work with Shelby Series One wheels. I've been told a spacer will work but I'm not into that solution. I have also been told that you can move the center of the wheel from the back of the barrel to the front. Does anyone have any experience with this application? What are you guys running for brakes with the Shelby wheel? Thanks in advance for your help.

yes, that is correct. I believe the rotor is slightly thicker on the Z07 RPO. Thanks

The C6 and C7 carbon brakes use huge rotors, special pads and speciifc calipers. Adapting them to the C4 suspension may be a challenge.
The first thing you need is a ton of money because to buy those parts will run into some serious bucks, perhaps 10 large. Secondly, you'll need at least 19" wheels to clear the calipers and then you need to determine the offset. Third, you may need to change the master cylinder as the stock C4 master may not work with that system. Fourth, you may have replumb some of the brake hydraulics' I should add that, if you do decide to go "all-in" and put carbon brakes on your ZR1, you'll have more brakes than you ever thought possible. On the other hand...if you suddenly develop a case of a really tight budget during tax season, consider my C4 brake upgrade for sale in the parts and cars for sale forum. ![]()
