Finally got my INFL REST and seatbelt light error fixed today. Made the drive to Henderson's Performance in New Braunfels, Tx. Made appt 2 weeks ago. Really didn't fix the problem. Cory convinced me to just let him take the bulbs out which I agreed. Took 2 hours and I was back on the the road. He even fixed a problem with my shifter not wanting to lock into reverse. He and his mechanic were great to deal with. Some how my "Full Power" light was not working as I left. They immediately took dash apart again and found a loose cable. All good now. Very happy with the experience. Now no more INFL REST BS. Thanks Cory!

I wouldn't call removing the bulb a fix but glad it worked out for you.

That's what I said in original post. I went with his recommendation. My call. Makes no difference in performance, its not a NCRS car. Just a nagging prob that I've had before. IMHO, this was easy fix. I won't have prob again. It was best way to solve, as I am not a mechanic, at all.

Its your call but that wont fix the problem with deploying the airbag when you might need it in an emergency. (This is a safety issue) I remember reading the procedure how to fix this problem correctly in an old registry mag. I could look for it and make you a copy.
Your decision.. LMK GC

Had an airbag light on in a 2006 SSV Tahoe I owned. Long story short ...my son wouldn't have been in the hospital for so darn long if the air bag would have been deployed. One dose not know the thoughts and resentment went through my mind while Nick was laying in the hospital bed. Just my experience. |

I agree with GC on the safety concern but we all know it's a full time job keeping up with all the electrical gremlins in these cars. I have left my battery in the z 24/7/365 for five years because I'm concerned that repowering the electrics will cause something to fault! Someday I will need to replace that battery.
I do wonder if or how a 25 year old airbag would deploy if everything was working as it should. Thankfully I've never had to find out but I do wonder. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
