DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO CAN REBUILD A STEERING COLUMN FOR MY ZR1 i STARTED TO DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT TO FIND THE LOWER BEARING IS GONE THINK ITS TIME TO LET SOMEONE ELSE TACKLE THE JOB

You can't get the tilt housing anymore, but I was able to find a new tilt base with pins on mine. At this point, you have to decide if the one oversize pin in the left side of the column will fix it. either that or you will have to fit a bushing to resize it.
Now for the lower bearing, I would think a lot of GM saginaw columns used the same part or even that you could get the number off of it and buy one. You might call around to see if you can find a shop that did a lot of theft repairs back in the day- there is actually a steering column place here in San Diego, but you should see if you can locate an online shop and send the whole mess to them. |

I have the housing parts and bearings, but you will need the oversized pins..
is the column in your car still or removed? Where in IL are you?
