Default Dowel pins for bell housing

Are the dowel pins on the ZR-1 block the same as a small bock chevy?
Small bet with with another corvette owner. I said yes they are he says no.

I'm inclined to say yes and if you check one and find it to be 5/8 X 1 3/16 that would confirm it. If you're needing most very good hardware/machine supply houses should be able to help you. GM# 12338119 is likely NLA.

I stumbled upon a bit of conflicting information that I couldn't ID. There's a GM# 10067627 that appears in some older SPO applications but description and quantities used is contradictory. I can't find any dimensions of the part either. I thought maybe it was the GM# for the case locating dowels M6X25 but I certainly can't document it.

I have some OEM dowel pins. Having converted a 4+3 to a ZF-6 on my 84 Xfire, the dowel pins were the same altho the bellhousings differ somewhat in length between LT-5 and generic SBC due to input shaft.

As a backup to Dom's offer, we do have them.

Aren't those the lower crank-case dowels? Isn't there also a dramatic difference in the quantity used for the later '93+? I think most of my SPO mentions 2 - '90 thru '92 and 10 - '93+

PN 10153560 IS the Crankcase hollow dowel pins, just as you pointed out.

I had the wrong PN associated with the Block/Clutch Housing Alignment Pins, which has now been corrected to 10067627. Was, right part with wrong PN! Now, right part with right PN :-)

What is the actual dimensions of the dowel you're referencing as 10067627? I was trying to relate the "tale of the tape" to an actual comparison of the 12338119 and it seemed quite close. The 5/8/.625(M15.875) X 1 3/16/1.1875(M30.1625). I paid no attention to the image(solid vs. hollow) only the part # you were using. If a Metric spec I'd expect maybe M16.

The 5/8(.625) is a reference diameter GM used even after engine conversion hardware to Metric spec. for clutch housing. All LS spec through '14 are.

***It might be interesting to confirm bore dimension of a block. Jerry? Anyone?
