Default Rear Negative Camber Issue

So I've always thought my drivers side rear wheel was in further than the pass side. After putting the new wheels on (thanks Don for the hook up) and fixing my bent rim issue, I've noticed, or took the time to inspect that I've got extreme negative camber.

I notice the tire wearing bad on the inside about a year ago, but i just kept driving... Lol So the issue was there before i bought it, and not caused by hitting that curb.

My car is also high on the passenger side.

Brain Trust - Do y'all think this is a camber seeing issue (1)? Or a sign that the rear spring needs to be replaced (2)?

The following may not be your issue, but it happened to me and caused extreme negative rear camber on one side.

I had done a thorough alignment, then doing a few more things, jacking the car in various ways while preparing for a track day. Apparently, at one point I had lowered the jack (which was near the right rear) onto a block of wood under the lower suspension arm (using the block of wood as a temporary jack stand). This unusual load shifted the inner camber adjustment, pushing it to the extreme outward location. Thank goodness I noticed it before loading up.

Lesson I learned - Don't hold the car up by that lower arm, even if only for a minute.. It put's too much load onto the inner camber bolt. It can move even if really tight.

Too hard (for me) to say over the internet.

My car had a difference in rear wheel offset when I got it. I spent some time with string trying to find where my car was asymmetrical but never did find an obvious difference from side to side. It can be a challenge.

I think the best plan is to keep trying to get everything symmetrical. Has it had a good recent alignment? If not that is step #1. Make sure the tire pressures are right. Before getting it aligned do some test drives yourself and try to recreate the problem with repeat-ability. Give the technician as much good information as possible (show him the behavior and/or measurements that are off). If you pinpoint a problem it makes it easier for him to correct, and you can test it immediately afterward and know if they fixed it.

Camber can make the car appear higher on one side yes.

if its off on the one side yes the other side could look higher get a four wheel alignment

My opinion/hunch (coming from a non-expert): Camber wont affect ride height or fender-to-tire vertical gap much, on either side. Only a few tenths of an inch at most.

If a car has too much negative camber the bottom of the tire will be pushed out (a little, not much) and the top of the tire will be pushed inwards. If you use your fingers to gauge the gap, you may be able to squeeze in another at an angle, since you've leaned the top of the tire inwards. It might raise the wheel and car a tiny amount due to our fat square tires (since it's not as square to the road and it's riding on the inner edge), but since tires are flexible, it shouldn't matter much from a ride height or fender-to-tire vertical gap (on either side).

If a fender-to-tire vertical gap is bigger on one side than the other, it is because:
1) that corner's spring is pushing the tire downwards more (pushing the chassis upwards more), - or the spring mounting point is different (same result).
or,
2) the body or chassis isn't square (I'm assuming they were designed square)

I hope they were!

I took her to corvette world and they racked it. Going to post pics soon. The camber bracket, bottom bolt, to the diff housing is loose! The bracket is wallered out! Going to replace that and go from there. 55 bucks well spent!

i purchased a new/used bracket 45 bucks and a buddy gave me a new rear spring just in case! hope this fixes my issues, tired of the lean. im going to lower the car a little as well.
