Put it on a rack... concerning tire wear
I have a friend that has a shop and I convinced him to let me put the Z on so I could clean up underneath and see what's what. I've had it on a couple drives and figure that the cobwebs should be shaken out and any new issues might present themselves.
So after we looked online for 25 minutes on how to get a c4 up correctly, we lifted it and the first thing we saw was the rear tires are toast. That happens. It's due anyway. The concerning part, for me, is how they wore. The insides on both tires were considerably more worn..one actually has wires showing... and the outsides are fine. Is this something I should be worried over? It doesn't seem right, but I not a smart man. I'm not familiar with these fat tires. One more thing... occasionally when I get on it, that brake warning light comes on. Like I have the parking brake on. Nothing happens.. just the light. Thoughts? |

Look for worn bushings on the rods.

Re: Put it on a rack... concerning tire wear
You have to look around for shops that perform it and have the equipment. I'm a believer as I had to get mine all redone when I went to coil overs and it solves abnormal tire wear unless the car is set to a particular setup for autocross etc.

Re: Put it on a rack... concerning tire wear
Sure sounds like way too much negative camber to me. Or not enough hard cornering. :-)
Our tires are so fat, proper camber is more important than for most cars.
