Bad end for a 67 BBC Corvette and driver...
Remember those gory pictures of crashes they used to show us in Driver's Ed, intended to scare some sense into us? One more to the list: A 67 BBC Corvette driven by a young lad tried to straighten an "S" curve on a blacktop road - ending up putting the car into big tree.
The driver fell out of the car, but the fire that ensued burn more than the Vette to a crisp. (Yeah, the leg is that of the driver...) Well, just a reminder of how quickly "chit happens". I grew up in the area and know that road very well - a 45 mph public road that passes through a recreation area bordering a lake; picture families fishing, picnicking, kids running around... Bad enough as is, w/o adding some overly exuberant kid with a fishing pole, darting across that road at that moment... Have a great w/e, and be safe. "Keep the shiny side up!" edit: Ooops...Sorry. This was suppose to be in the GENERAL section... My bad.

I'm driving my Volt this weekend... I usually try to not be a statistic on holiday weekends plus there's always extra law enforcement.
