Default 94Z Brake Master Cylinder

My 94 with 154,000 miles is showing a symtom where brake engagement point is lower (pedal goes down further than what I am use to) and also feels a bit mushy. Eventually pedal firms up and car will stop.
Does this sound like my master cylinder is beginning to die?

For replacement master, any suggestion?

Yes or a potential brake booster leak. look for fluid leaking inside the drivers side cabin as well on the brake pedal arm and floorboard. For a booster leak you should be hearing a booster vacuum leak

I have no replacement suggestions other than from the normal parts houses

Haven't had time to remove the hush panel and check for fluid on the pedal rod. Nonetheless, there is no sign of brake fluid loss checking the reservoir.
Also, with the motor off, I can pump the pedal and once pumped up feels solid at high pedal position. When I start the motor, pedal drops about an inch. Tough to hear any vacuum leak with the motor running.
If the master is leaking internally, wouldn't the pedal drop even when the motor is not running?

You should not have to remove the hush panel to see the leak feel the firewall behind the pedal and visually look at the top of the pedal arm see any fluid? check the wheels for fluid loss at the calipers as well. I'm thinking a slow internal leak in the master may be the issue since so see no fluid at this time
