Never saw 1-4 light and shift light
Hi,
'91 ZR-1 Since I bought the car (2 weeks ago), I've never seen the 1-4 light/shift light while driving, except when I read the codes (they light up, so the bulbs aren't burnt). I drive the car at WOT pretty often. Why? PS: Very sorry for all the threads I've been posting lately. Got too much time to work on the ZR-1. Getting back on a ship in a couple of weeks so it's about to come to an end. Thanks! |

It could be because the 1-4 is disabled as is the case with most of our cars. Mine was disabled when I got it, and I don't see the light either.

Well, I just removed the ECM now to see if there was an aftermarket chip installed.
Someone has an idea where that chip is from and what it does? Having an aftermarket chip without knowing what's in it is pretty useless...

May have been modified at some point. You would have to send it to someone who can read it to find out what mods.

Or it could be a skip shift eliminator plugged in underneath on the trans. Theyre fairly cheap nowadays $10 or so
