API Intake Install
Had this for awhile, I bought it with the flange broken off the neck. I never installed it as the neck of the intake turned out to be smaller than stock. So Today I got the heat gun and plastic welder out.
I cut the neck off a stock intake and grafted it onto the API reversed intake...now it should flow as much as stock and also pull denser air from in front of the radiator. Need to do some engine cleaning...but hey its got 148Kmiles on it

Re: API Intake Install
Hey Lee,
Not too many of these around. I have one in storage, but did not notice that the opening was smaller than stock. That is some crafty work to modify that intake like that.

Re: API Intake Install
I've used one on my car for several years. Did not notice the size of the outlet. Since you have both Lee, what's the dimensional difference between stock and API? The stock airbridge fits prettty snugly onto the API, so size seemed to be the same.

Re: API Intake Install
Look at it vs Stock next time its off, the height is about .5" less and the radius of the ends is sharper.
The API plastic also has a lower melting point vs the stocker

Re: API Intake Install
Thinking about switching to Jerry's air bridge. Currently using the phenolic insert in stock airbridge but I think the thickness may be robbing some airflow capacity.
