SAE corrected 385 RWHP x 350 RWTQ. Mods are: Ported plenum and injector housings, Jeal headers, Random Tech bullet cats, Corsa exhaust, Haibeck header tuned chip.

Your numbers sound right on the money for what ya had done. glad ya showed the new kid what the old man could do .I agree that the old mighty ZR-1 can hold up to the new big dollar Z and you have plenty of cash left to buy gas for a few years,I will give the new Z the edge on handling can't argue with new tec ..=D>

your right on the handling they are slot cars. But I am anold guy that loves straight line any way. got to try a k&n and have an old z-industries air cleaner assem where it reversesand pulls air fromthe rad ducting/ plus I'd like to try an x-pipe and maybe a 3in exhaust tinker tinker I do love to tinker very relaxing for me.

You might in in for a nice surprise, I pulled 355 -rwhp with a chip and Borla exhaust, put on stainless works headers 2" prim and B&B with their X-pipe then pulled 390-rwhp I like B&B's X-pipe the sholder joint "where they meet" is around 6" long together I seen some other X-pipes that looked to be only a inch at the joint, besides the 3" inch pipe will move more air in the long run.

those are spectacular numbers and proof that the LT5 handles the miles pretty well IMHO that is stronger than my old LPE 475 car with ported heads. very nice.
