Default WTB: Flowmaster 17115 Cat-Back Exhaust

Looking to add some muscle to the ZR1 - stock sucks. Anyone out there with a really nice used one or a new in the box? Thank you!

I know - everyone has their favorite exhaust - corsa being the "best" in terms of performance - I'm after the sound and some more power - not looking to squeeze every last ounce of power from a cat back system. I had a Corsa on a CTS-V I owned - liked it a lot but for the Vette looking for the trademark Flowmaster sound.

I had Corsa on mine and liked it pretty well. I knew I was getting the most power that any aftermarket ZR-1 system would give me, especially considering that I had no cats on my car. That said, I always did wonder how it would have sounded with one of the "throatier" systems. My understanding is that the Flowmaster will probably do a good job of giving you that deeper sound that you want. Only issue with them is that it's a 2-1-2 system: the header pipes join into a single resonator, and that's bound to lead to a bit more restriction. Just something to think about.

They've been discontinued for several years, so best of luck finding one. Phrogs had one not too long ago, but I think he finally sold it.

I agree - I'm not going to be too picky - anything seems better than stock. I've always been a big magnaflow fan but seems that they are not too popular on the zr1.

I have both FM and Corsa.. The FM sounds best.

Just Corsa with headers

I had the MF cat back system on my ZR and liked it just fine. However, in terms of power it proved a bit restrictive. But it produced a nice mellow sound, no drone and looked great. One down side. The hangar mechanism sucked.
But you can pick up the system fairly inexpensively.
