I appreciate the fact that this article illustrates the "lineage" of the ZR-1 in the history of GM. That's why I am a proponent of including all ZRs as part of the Registry. I'm willing to bet there's another iteration of the ZR coming down the road in the not too distant future. The ZR moniker defines the pinnacle of Corvette and GM performance. And I believe it will continue to do so. It has the
cache of KOTH for GM. And our cars can only benefit from being seen as part of that rich history.

P.S. The LT-5 is an L98 w DOHC???? WHAT? Although I appreciate the article,
Mr. Forinash needs to do a better job of research.

I agree inclusion would only make the whole model stronger and would help in educating the new players about their roots

I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT THE $$$ FROM THEN AND NOW

SO YOU SEE THE COST IS VERY CLOSE TO THE SAME $$$

I THINK MANY PAID A LOT MORE THAN 59K FOR THE 1990 ZR-1
AND 111K FOR A 2009 ZR1 SEEMS A TAD HIGH AS WELL
I SEEM TO REMEMBER AROUND 100K BEING THE MARK

AUTO BLOG NOTES $103K AT THE TIME IN 2009
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/17/2...bers-released/

General Motors and Chevrolet have just released all their official numbers for the 2009 Corvette ZR1 and... hold on to your butts... its base MSRP (including destination charges) will be $103,300.

I AM GLAD I DID THIS
IT IS WHAT I FIGURED ALL ALONG

How about only $69,800 for a 09 with 16.5k miles
http://www.carsforsale.com/used-cars...d-ny-229873358
EVEN THE NEW KING IS DROPPING IN $$ THESE DAYS

I PREDICT THAT IN ANOTHER 10 YEARS OR LESS A 60K MILES ZR1 WILL
BE A BARGAIN PRICE EVEN THOUGH ONLY 2000 MADE OF THE ZR1

Inclusion of the ZR1 in the ZR-1 (and not to forget the C3 ZR1s) elite family will only serve to strengthen the visibility and mystique. I'm for it!

I looked at the article and, basically...it sucks.

The 2G ZR1 section has numerous errors and distortions. The guy did really crap research.

The section on the 3G ZR1 is better, mainly because the writer's lousy research found a bit more content because the information is easier to find.

If the level of research shown in that story is typical of everything else on that site, it's not worth the time.

I have to also agree with the inclusion of the c3/c6 zr1 moniker as part of the zr1 family. We could have in the zr1net website different forums where zr1 owners can go to for their specific zr1 information.

Ricky,

That's why it's one of the planks of my platform as a candidate for Director on the BOD.
