Default where to buy bearing & banski opinions

well the old gal needs some freshening up

rear bearings are clicking and lose, and there appears to be a bad bushing in the dog bone on the pass side rear

what is the best place to buy the bearings. probably going to replace both the front and rear as the car has 82k on it now (finally caught up with Bob Arnold, FYI, he's selling his LPE 385 + spare engine_)

thinking hard about the banski stuff as it looks nice

are the boots really hard to put on? are they adviseable? from the pics looks like it would be a real turd rassle to get them on and I don't offroad the ZR-1 (at least not on purpose) so I'm not sure if they would be worth it.

are the banski suspension parts a big improvement? worth it? feedback I've read so far seems pretty positive but it's dropping another 1k!!

thanks for any advice.

The boots are not easy however, worth the effort as it keeps the dirt and grit out of the heim joints. Before installing the Banski trailing arms (Dog bones) I had a generic set of heim jointed trailing arms and they squeaked like a mofo until I changed to the Banski setup. Im impressed with the quality and as a DD I do not regret the purchase

I see Corvette Recycling still has a few NOS oem front bearings in stock
http://www.corvetterecycling.com/product_p/12413001.htm

For the rear bearing hubs look for SKF BR930024

Ron,

About 6 years ago i went with all new poly in the rear of the turbo car. Tracked many times w/o issues. My Hawaai car needs them now and i plan on using the poly again.

Dont get me wrong, i like the Banski stuff but I just couldnt justify after my experiance with the turbo car.

Cheers,

yea the banski stuff is expensive, but I pulled the trigger anyway.

thanks to Phil, I ordered some OEM front bearings, and timken rears so I will be upgrading the LSV soon.

maybe another wazoo day!! a "pit crew" could make this job go a bit easier and phil can change out spindles faster than I can take a shower.

Where's this 385 for sale

I only have banski rear camber arms. Good product and nicer than the 3 non banski set ups I've had on the 93. Car was too low though and ran out of adjustment to get the camber out but I'm probably all alone on that one lol
