Wow. That's haulin' the mail. Texas Mile record is also a Ford GT at 263.3.

I think it is less of a chore to develop the horsepower to go that fast than it would be to keep it stuck to the ground and going relatively straight. I don't like the thought of getting all dodgy at 300 feet per second.
