Default New Headliner

Earlier this year I replaced my headliner.
I tried to have a raised ZR1 in it and although a neat idea I failed and it looked like crap!

SO I bought some new headliner material and had some custom embroidery done

I think this time it is a success

I just did my headliner too. Nothing fancy like yours, but what a difference! Definitely a DIY project. I followed the "101 Projects for your Corvette" book -- got a sheet of cork from Home Depot, material from Walmart, cut the pattern, glued in, and presto...headliner all fixed up.

I removed the old material headliner and reused the factory fiberglass pad.
You may have to gently scrape or sand some of the old foam padding off.
Buy 2 cans of good spray adhesive and some new material.
Mask up the frame.
Lay out the new material and fold half back.
Apply the adhesive to the pad and the back of the new material.
Fold it over and fold the other side, apply adhesive and fold that down.
As you fold over with adhesive applied becareful to work the material down flat.
Trim the excess material about 3/8" longer than the edge.
That 3/8" will allow you to push the material under the frame.

2 hour job at most. Fairly easy. Nice upgrade to the interior.
