Bike laid down in front of my house saturday.
I walked out to close the garage door Saturday night and saw this kid about maybe 19 years old with a backpack on looking down at his motorcycle laying on the street scratching his head. His helmet was about 20 feet away. I said man are you alright? Did you eat it? He said he tried to make a U-turn in the middle of the street and couldn't make it. Front tire hit the curb and he fell off. Said he couldn't lift the bike back up. So I walked out there barefoot grabbed the handle bars and picked it right up. It was a nice new bike to. A red Honda CBR600RR sport bike. He thanks me and fires it up. As he starts rolling he's up around 11,000rpm's and lightly engaging the clutch. And I'm thinking that clutch is either slipping really bad or this kids doesn't know how or shouldn't be riding a bike at all. Especially one like that. It amazes me how parents will buy their teenage son's a bike like that not knowing that a 600cc bike these days will do 165mph and out corner a Ferrari. I thought this kid was going to kill himself before he even made it out of the neighborhood.
