Not sure if this is common knowledge, but the 93 flunked the fat farm test and reclassified the ZR-1 under EPA guidelines....in order to cut 3.8kgs and get back into their class, GM reduced tank size to 18.5 Gallons vs 20, changed fuel necks, losing a steel frame extension in excahnge of aluminum foam filler instead of honeycomb in the bumper.
Apparently there are 160 fatty 93 Zs with 20G tanks, and the rest skinnied up....

what made them heavier? a couple of pounds for the egr valves, ASR actuator, and ???
second airbag came out in 1994 didn't it? |
