Default Removing secondary throttle valves...Help please.

Okay. Bought Marcs chip for secondary throttle valve delete for my 91 because I really would like to make the car as trouble free as possible, and I didn't want to keep spending money on actuators, finding out if they are installed correctly etc.... so, the decision was made to just make the system as simple as possible as Paul Workman and others have recommended.

I have the plenum and IH on the driver's side off at this time (the pass side IH is not coming loose for some reason..help here, should I pry it somehow?) and can see the throttle plates with the two screws holding each one on. I really don't like the idea of wiring the plates open, but it looks like the heads have to come off in order to do it right...is this correct?

If they heads have to come off, I will resort to plan two, that is, would it be okay to just unscrew the throttle plates and leave the shafts? I really don't like that idea either, but something about using wire to keep them open just reminds me of a hack job. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Okay, found this... I know, search...I was under the impression that there was only one shaft that went from the front of the engine to the back, but I see that that is not the case and the shafts are separate and each go in from the valley side, ie laterally.

There is a product , jb weld might be the maker, that is like putty.. I believe it's two part, but it may not be. I have used it to seal leaky freeze plugs and it hardens like a rock in about 5 to 10 minutes. Can one just fill the holes with this putty? I see the plug that is recommended but is that overkill, or would I just be turning a good job into a hack.

JB Weld is a 2-part epoxy. Use it on the Dorman 555-108 freeze plugs as a sealant. The plugs are cheap enough and easy to install. Why take a chance on the epoxy ever coming off? (not to mention it would look like hell and might need to be ground out of the runner later...(JMO).)

Agreed, the Dorman plugs are dirt-cheap, and effective. I didn't use any sealant on mine, as they are a very tight press-fit.
