Black exhaust "spray" - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

Started my Z tonight, and I noticed a small mount of black residue spat up from the exhaust. The car was in a light rain today (not driven) for a few hours. After a few minutes of letting it idle, I revved it a few times and the spray was about a foot and a half to two feet long, and 4-6 inches wide. I know it's common for a ZR-1 to spray a little, but this is a first. The car otherwise seems perfectly fine, and I drove it the night before and it ran perfect.

it's possible it was carbon
