On Queenie the center wheel nut covers have discolored where the CC has broken doen. The alum has a grey oxidation on it that I cannot get cleaned off. I stripped the CC but the grey oxidation?? will not clean. Anybody have sugestions? Tried alim jelly but did not work, used 3000 sandpaper but it does not get it all off.

Plenty of new ones on ebay....or start with 320 grit and work to 1000/2000 grit . I picked up a set on ebay for $50-60(in the box)

You are talking about the large center caps on the 88 / 89's right? I have a new one you can use to color match the caps if you want. I know somebody in California doing perfect reproductions of them, but they aren't cheap. $600 a set? ![]() David |
