Yikes!!

Looks like there is another C4 next to the Z facing the other way. Wonder if that was a Z too or a regular C4? Hopefully they had insurance!


EDIT: After looking at the original post from the link given on that "other" forum, looks like there are a total of 4 (possibly 5?) ZR-1's there that were lost! And apparently they didn't have insurance.

I've edited the original pics with arrows showing where I believe the ZR-1's are (the LT5 plenum is the tell-tale sign):

so are the LT5's still ok? Does the aluminum melt in a fire?

I think the intense heat will change the metallurgical properties of the aluminum, possibly rendering it more brittle - IOW, I probably wouldn't put any of those parts back into service. Might be suitable for shop art though

Man thats just depressing. Yeah I dont think the internals would survive either. Not with that kind of heat .
