Hope this helps the ZR-1 Community a little
I have read a lot of negative Threads lately about the Board members, Jeff, how much the Grand Sport guys donated and the PNW guys, I'm originally from Washington State, so I thought I would tell you what the ZR-1 community has done for my Soldiers and I. Even though you might not of been at JVD BBQ or contributed, you should be proud of the ZR-1 community for what you/they have done for total strangers in Afghanistan.
My name is Eric Egelstad, I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and I'm located in one of the worse possible places to be at in Afghanistan and I want to say THANK YOU from me and my SOLDIERS. Many of you donated or bought items at the auction JVD had for the 20th Anniversary Gathering, and because of that JVD and the ZR-1 community has supported me and my guys with care packages full of a variety of things from HOME. You have no idea how much a care package means to all of us after being here since Feb 2010 and what we have been through. So maybe you did not contribute a bunch of money to the museum? To me you contributed much more then that and I can not thank you enough. This little guy says it all, I'm very proud to be an AMERICAN.......................................... !!!!!!! Thank you ZR-1 Community, you have shown your a Class Act group for your actions whether you contributed directly or indirectly, you have hit a bump in the road but I know you will overcome all this negativity. Sincerely, SFC Eric Egelstad 101st Airborne (ASSLT) Rakkasan |
