Default Silly Question...

Under the gas flap of my '91 ZR-1 the instructions to use unleaded gas only are written in English and in French. Why the French?

everytime I drive the car I keep thinking of questions, most i can find answers to by searching old posts but this one doesn't seem to have come up before.

Is this a feature of Canadian only cars or was it on all of them? Can't remember what it says inside mine (which is a US car)

Thanks, that is exactly what I thought. However these cars have such an interesting history I thought perhaps a few had been specifically built for the French market or something weird like that. I was secretly hoping I had some really unique and rare car that was worth six figures!!

It's just like the switch to change the dash to metric. El Cheapo GM was pinching pennies... Most all of GM's US cars are also sold in Canada.
