Complete collapse and disfigurement.
I was going to make an aluminum intake duct, and secure it both sides with silicone couplers, but finding them in 6" is proving to be a bit of a challenge. I have seen some cars with the saamco hose, and I think I may just grab one of those, and was curious where the best place to purchase them from is. I am also interested in grabbing a swt of headers for it until I can get around to piddling with the spare engine, and build a turbo kit for it. Suggestions? TIA I am also looking to upgrade the fuel system in anticipation of building the turbo kit, and my car has the apparently common seperation issue. Are the fuel tanks common between the lt-1 cars, and ours, or is it specific to the zr-1? Best place to procure them? Last edited by todesengel; 04-15-2010 at 09:32 PM. |

![]() I would suggest sporthoses.com for the SAMCO Air Duct but I'm sure others sell them: http://www.sporthoses.com/kits/auto/chevrolet/1505 ![]() |

You can order Stainless Works headers through the store: http://www.zr1netregistry.com/ZR1netstore/index.html

The intake itself is in bad shape as well, so I was contimplating purchasing a slp one to replace that as well. 3-4 weeks, I may just have to build my own. Thanks for the links and info. |

I'd call sporthoses.com and ask for Jamie - he may have one in stock.
Kurt White probably has one as well: http://www.whiteracingproducts.com/i...ex&cPath=10_45 I'm sure one of the brothers here have a spare they would let go for a reasonable price. You might want to post a WTB thread in Parts For Sale/Wanted. |

I don't know if it's still available, but a couple years ago I simply bought a new duct. It was much stiffer as it wasn't 20 years old. I also put the Haibeck hoops in, but it was quite stiff on its own. IIRC it was like $20 give or take.

I have a blue Samco intake duct that I'd sell for $125 shipped. It's got a little rub in the top surface through the lettering, but it's in good shape otherwise.
