Welding Cat-Back Exhaust.
For those of you who have welded your exhaust to keep the tips from turning. I have Stainless Works headers and Flowmaster cat-back, tired of the muffler tips not staying straight no matter how tight the clamps are.
How many of the connections do I have to weld? All of them? Just the last two,[exhaust pipe out of resonator, and muffler]? Or do you just weld the last junction, [the mufflers]? Lastly does the weld have to be all the way around the pipe or just tac welded in 3 or 4 spots per joint? Thanks |

Re: Welding Cat-Back Exhaust.
Weld all connections . You just need to weld 1/4 to1/2 inch in one spot to keep it from turning . It would have to break the weld to move.
