Default ZF 6 speed

Does a Lotus Carlton 6 speed ZF box fit a 90 ZR1? Are they the same, ratios etc?

I have a vague idea that something is slightly different but cant remember what an dthat they can be swapped one way but not the other

Looks like transmission is the same, S6-40, but bell housing/clutch is different.

Totally different. Only thing the same are the gears and counter shaft.

Shift rails - centre and rear case - main shaft - input shaft - sleeve - shifter are all different and you will not be able to use either one in the reverse situation without major mods.

If you have a line on a LC box and it's cheap, BUY IT. They are worth 2-3 times the cost of a ZR-1 LT1 etc box.

If you locate a pressure plate or flywheel for a LC, i will buy it.
