Default Infinity Lube

Has anyone used this friction modifier in their oil?

A Buzz Lightyear product?

(sorry)

Looks intriguing, but no, have not used it.

Just had a presentation at work on it. Claimed 40hp in engines. Dubious to say the least. Supposedly has been around for 30 years, given the lack of response, doesn?t appear to be a miracle I?ve missed out on.

My thought on 99.9% of additives!
Not sure what the other .01% is, but don't want to make an absolute statement!!

The info in the advertisement sheet says "900 degree flash point." At the bottom in the fine print it says "believed to be accurate at time of issue."

MSDS says 270 degree flash point.

False advertising.

So here's what we can deduce from the info they provide:

- It's a plant based oil.

- There is very little actual data on its chemical properties aside from flash point and kinematic viscosity.

- The only actual wear test info provided has no data on what the actual test results were (like a scar size on a gear tooth or bearing) because "the weld point exceeded maximum limits." That doesn't sound good.
