The PO used wires in this area - three relays above driver's left knee - to get 12v for an accessory.
I'm curious, what are those three relays for? I want to decide if it's a good place for getting 12v, or if I should make a change. TIA. PS. I looked through the FSM but probably not the right sections. Didn't find the answer. I can post a picture if it will help. |

Outer most is the DAB (Delayed Accessory Bus), middle is A/C clutch and the Starter Enable Relay is closest the column.
It sounds as if the PO has been into the SER for modifications. In the FSM Book 2 8A-201-9. The 8A-201 section of the FSM is one of the more valuable sections of the FSM for most to get familiar with. All of the electrical diagnostics will refer to that section as "component locator". '91 has accessory 12V in a harness that unless the PO has done something with should be loose under the console cover plate. The wiring scheme for that is in Book 2 8A-11-13. That should do most anything you like. Last edited by WVZR-1; 05-09-2015 at 08:45 AM. |
