so I drove the Zr-1 around the block a couple times.. it Idled okay at first..
then at 2K. must be a vacuum leak.. looks like Secondary circuit.. I think.
Anyway that is another post..
I pulled the MEMCAL out tonight and it has an orange handwritten label on says: 1990 ZR-1
any Idea who did this on their PROMs? I have a picture and will post it when I get it off the camera. Now how do I go about finding out the OEM broadcast code and which definition it is $8E or $8EA..
Thanks

Well if we downloaded the bin, the Mask ID should be there unless the checksum has been disabled, then it'll be an AA. as I said before, the diff between the original and the "A" Rev of the chip is in the 7XX addy area. Everyhting will line up before that point.
Brad's chip had the memcals like that, not the Knock sensor circuitry like mine. Do the 91s have the Knock circuitry or external?

If Brad had it on his, was it on the Callaway? I assume they tuned cars

Jeff,
There's an easy way to tell if its an 8E or 8EA. If you have a stock 8A bin, do a compare with the bin you download from this chip. If it tracks until about the 7xxx addy, then its an 8EA.

Whether it is 8E or 8EA does not matter. I want to know who.made the chip

Corvette consultant used orange computer-generated stickers on the outside of the memcal, with "T.C.C." on it. I think I have one around here somewhere.

Jeff,
I'm with Dom on this. I would be less concerned with whose tune it is and more concerned with what is actually IN the tune.
