It seems sometimes like the newer Corvette folks don't pay much respect to the 'vettes that got them there. But here is a neat press release that summarizes the Corvette's competition history and pays some nice compliments to the cars that came before. That's definitely a nice read. It's hard to comprehend how successful the C5-R and C6-R programs have been. What's not hard to comprehend is why all the rest of the competition ran away! :mrgreen:

What most people don't realize is the C5R program, they got beat by the Oreca Vipers on a consistant basis. Corvette Racing then worked harder to become faster and more reliable in every aspect. All the marketing money allowed from GM goes into the race program.
