Well, I know winter time is when most of you like to do your mods as you want to drive your cars when the weather is nice.
This will be good from 11/22/07-2/29/08. So you have 3 months. To get this deal I must have the parts in my hand no later than the 29th of Feb.
Package 1:
Engine refinishing color of your choice. With return shipping for US customers and a complete set of gaskets to do reassmeble the motor. 350.00
Package 2:
Add in porting for the plenum & injector housings for an additional 900 for a total of 1,250
The gaskets included will be all three TB gaskets, plenum and injector housing gaskets and the coolant outlet pipes.
I am very interested! I will talk to you about this more in depth when I come to pick up my car.

I'm seriously thinking of having you do the package #2 if I get the balls to tackle taking everything off the car:mrgreen: . Looks like the cam covers will be hardest. Do you do the "Artic White" color? Also, do you do PayPal? I will probably PM with a couple of more questions before I decide. Thanks Jeff:handshak:

Just ship me your coolant pipes and I'll engrave than and ship them and the billet throttle body plate to Jeff for PCing with your other items. PM me if interested.

How long would it take to have the 2nd package done? Can you paint it in Steel Blue Metalic?
Jeffvette

Roger, 6 weeks turn around time. And for the color, I haven't seen a steel blue car in a long time, just send me your gas door and I can get it matched.

Jeffvette

No extra charge unless there is any damage. Cylinder heads can be done, but there will be an extra charge for additional cleaning and to strip them down. no need to really do the heads IMHO.

OK, I've had the plenum off (more than a couple of times) as well as the IJH. But I've never had the cam covers off ... what's involved/how difficult/etc. etc. ??? Any clever tricks to make it easier?
I think I need (read: want) to do this but need to check with the boss on the budget (WHAT! Another mod???)
Shipping question? best to ship in multiple, well padded packages? or one big package?
Thanks for the info.

George, the worst part is removing the brake booster. Here is a write up going through all the steps. I'm also west coast and have later hours so I'm a phone call a way in helping you through a tough spot.
Part 1 http://pnwzr1.net/LT5_tear_down.htm
Part 2 http://pnwzr1.net/LT5_tear_down2.htm
As far as shipping. People usually use two boxes. I have had some that send it all in one box. UPS guy usually is not very happy.

Put me in line as a very strong probable ... should have a decision very soon. Wish I had the time to pull the parts right now ... we're unseasonably warm in the southeast at the present but it'll probably be freezing after Christmas when I'll finally have time in the schedule to do the work. Oh, well! Garage is nice but isn't always as warm as I would like.
I'll keep you posted on the progress. I'll also want to talk with you about the finish and the color(s) on the lettering. I've seen pics of your work and it is truly outstanding ... also makes deciding which way to go a bit tough. Be thinking about best "look" for a 90 black/black with 95 wheels. Check my site (http://www.zrwon.com) for plenty of pics. If you haven't visited before, I think you'll like some of the eye candy.

George, sounds good, and thanks for the compliment. As far as color selection, on a black car either one of the reds i do looks spectacular. Either the bright red or the darker cherry red. I've also got a nice color called shocker yellow.

Thats a little to bright for me. BTW it only cost $18 with insurance to send that full set of calipers. So yes $50 for that other set was way off. But total it was still a good price. I should have pulled the trigger higher.

Jeff - The shop said they wanted $400 for the R&R. They said I could leave it there will the parts are being done. How long was the turn around for package 2? And can you post some pics of the stock like silver finish and the silver fleck again? Thanks

Porting will take a little bit longer, speculate around 45-50 days to complete.

Usual cost is about 2,500 to do that. Lots of cutting and welding involved. Not much gain unless you have a full tilt car.

For just the powder alone. I allocate a week for incoming shipment a week for the work to be done and then a week to ship back.
Porting work will add roughly 5 weeks depending upon current load.

Actually, I was in Costa Rica during January (a lotta years ago) and thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay. I vowed to definitely go back and spend more time, but here I am (a lotta years later) and I still haven't made it back. Costa Rica is a worthwhile vacation destination ... from what I understand there is a significant American population who make CR their retirement home.
